Today I went to weigh in fully expecting to hit my 50 pound weight loss mark - but I didn't.  I had even brought before pictures.  Especially because it wasn't my regularly scheduled meeting and no one there knew me or how far I'd come.

I was really shocked when I saw the number:  TWO POUNDS UP!!!  Me?!?!?  You've got to be kidding!  I've done so well, I've followed plan and everything.  The only difference this week was a slight drop in exercise (from 25 AP's to 21) and type (from working out at the gym -swimming - to mainly yoga and housework).  But the point remains, I followed plan diligently and still gained.  Here's what I think happened:

1) I stayed up late last night - Until 3am, which threw my body off
2) I woke up incredibly thirsty, drank a ton, and still hadn't gone to the bathroom by the time of my meeting
3) Wore heavier clothes than normal to my meeting
4) I went in the morning instead of the evening, which is my normal meeting (And I usually weigh more in the morning)

Given all that, here's to hoping I lose at least 3 pounds next week!

Remember, you were also surprised by your loss the week before. Sometimes it takes a week or more for something like a convention weekend to catch up. It's so discouraging when that happens. Keep up the hard work. I'm rooting for you!

Yes, you're probably right. I must've forgotten that my body does that. . . it does sometimes take a week or so to catch up with me. So, maybe next week will be really really good and I'll get my 50 pound ring! Here's to hoping. :-)
